HO CHI MINH CITY MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

Located in the heart of this vibrant city, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most prominent cultural institutions in Vietnam and one of the city's most spectacular colonial-era buildings. It is the perfect place to explore Saigon’s modern art story. The building was formerly owned by the Chinese Hui Bon Hoa family, one of the wealthiest families in the city before the end of the Vietnam War in 1975.

The museum showcases an impressive range of Vietnamese art, including traditional and contemporary works, sculptures, paintings, ceramics and other artistic forms from various periods of Vietnam’s history. This includes art from the pre-colonial era, the French colonial period and the post-war period.

The museum offers deep insight into the transformation of Vietnamese visual culture, the country’s artistic traditions and its ongoing journey in the global art world.

The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, history buffs and anyone interested in understanding the cultural landscape of Vietnam.
